Compliance is no longer protection - it’s your competitive advantage

DappleOS helps clinics across Australia stay audit-ready and compliant with Queensland’s latest Schedule 4 medicine guidelines. Our platform tracks every vial from delivery to injection using barcode technology, linking treatments to valid scripts and blocking expired or unscripted doses. It combines live inventory, patient records, and a tamper-proof drug register in one secure system. Clinics using DappleOS build regulator trust, reduce risk, and scale with confidence.

At DappleOS we serve clinics of all sizes and structures across Australia. Here’s how smart Queensland clinics are getting ahead.

Now before we share this let’s do a quick self-check - are you really audit-ready?

  1. Do you have a truly digital drug book that records every vial the instant it’s scanned?

  2. When an inspector says “Show me proof this vial stayed under prescriber custody from delivery to dose,” can you surface that evidence in seconds?

If either answer is “not yet,” keep reading.

What the April 2025 fact-sheet clarifies

New guidance, same law. The Medicines & Poisons Act hasn’t changed since 2021 - Queensland Health has simply spelled out expectations in plain English.

Exactly two operating models:

1) Exclusive / joint custody - a doctor or NP buys and stores stock on-site.

2) Remote services - a prescriber writes scripts, a pharmacist dispenses, and clinics may keep only individually dispensed vials.

Purchasing authority.

Only doctors or NPs may order S4 cosmetic medicines; RNs may hold a vial only while administering a valid script.

“Possession” is about physical access.

If an unauthorised person can reach the fridge, the clinic is non-compliant.

How do I enable compliance?

DappleOS is your all-in-one compliance platform. Why is DappleOS the only true end-to-end engine for  compliance? Because it shows clinics exactly what to do—and then makes doing it effortless.

What: Link each treatment to a valid script

How: Prescription, dose and consent live in one record.

What: Track every vial from delivery to use

How: A single barcode scan captures supplier, batch & expiry.

What: Capture barcodes & expiry on every dose

How: Bed-side scan blocks expired or unscripted vials before injection.

What: Store patient records in one secure system

How: Notes, photos and drug data live together - no data silos.

What: Operate an up-to-date S4 drug register

How: Each scan writes a tamper-proof entry - no handwriting or double-entry.

What: Maintain live inventory & smart stock alerts

How: Automatic counts and alerts prevent stock from dipping below safe levels.

No other platform in Australia unites barcode tracking, live inventory, treatment notes and a compliant S4 register in one cloud workspace.
