
Treatment planning is one of the most powerful levers for growth in any clinic. Yet, through a series of user interviews, we realised that in most clinics it was little more than a rough sketch photographed and uploaded to the patient file. Static notes with no tracking, no follow-up, and no way of ensuring the plan came to life. Opportunities were lost, patients drifted away, and clinics missed revenue they had already earned.
We knew it had to be different. Treatment planning had to evolve into a growth tool: one that lived inside the clinic’s daily rhythm, adapted to patient goals, and created visibility for both clinician and patient. Our design goal was clear: build a treatment plan that was actionable, trackable, and capable of driving engagement long after the consultation.
From assessment to action
In our recent article, we introduced Assessments and Pathways. These define what should be recommended based on the clinic’s standard of care for common concerns. Treatment Planning is where those recommendations turn into action.
A draft plan is pre-populated from the Assessment, then refined by the clinician together with the patient. It can be found directly in the Patient Profile and in the Treatment Note, giving clinicians a clear, accessible view at every visit.
The Treatment Plan is a live roadmap that connects clinical recommendations to bookings and retail activity. It is visible in the patient app and acts as the bridge between the consultation and everything that follows.
A plan that adapts to the patient
We knew Treatment Plans couldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Patients often arrive with a clear goal or milestone, like a wedding or holiday. In DappleOS, clinicians can anchor the plan to that moment, ensuring every treatment builds toward something meaningful.
The plan itself is flexible. Clinicians can add or remove treatments, set them as once-off, recurring, or spaced across the year. Extra treatments can be layered in, creating a plan that is structured yet adaptable. The result is a living roadmap, aligned with best practice and personalised to each patient.

Retail, built in
When speaking to clinics, one message came through clearly: skincare was being left behind. Recommendations were inconsistent, follow-up was ad hoc, and principals had no way to see what was working or what was missed. We knew retail had to be as structured and reliable as treatments themselves.
We chose to embed skincare directly into the treatment plan. Products flow automatically from Pathways, and clinicians can add or adjust them to match patient preference. Retail becomes part of the same workflow, aligned with treatment goals and reinforced at every visit.
The impact goes beyond sales. When skincare is integrated into the plan, patients are more likely to stay consistent and achieve better results. That adherence drives stronger outcomes and deeper trust. For clinics, retail shifts from chance to certainty, becoming a predictable, recurring revenue stream.
Statuses that drive action
In DappleOS, every item in the plan carries a live status. Treatments are tracked as Booked or Not Booked. Retail products move through Sampled, Not Purchased, and Purchased.
For clinics, statuses highlight opportunities that would otherwise be missed: a treatment left unbooked, a product sampled but never purchased, a repurchase that is overdue. This visibility makes follow-up and upselling natural, boosting retention and revenue. For patients, statuses build clarity and momentum. They make progress visible and keep goals front of mind.
Behind the scenes, statuses power automation. They trigger reminders, marketing journeys, and staff prompts, ensuring no booking or product opportunity is left behind.
A plan patients can see
When we designed Treatment Planning, we knew it couldn’t end at the consultation. Patients needed a way to stay engaged with their plan outside the clinic, and our app gives them that connection in real time. Treatments, skincare, and progress photos can be seen in real time. This visibility keeps goals front of mind and strengthens commitment between visits.
Rebooking happens directly in the app, with confirmations, deposits, and reminders handled automatically. Skincare can be repurchased too, supported by smart prompts when products are running low.
The result is more than convenience. Patients feel supported and motivated, while clinics benefit from stronger adherence and a reliable stream of recurring revenue.
