## Agent scope

### One patient, with the detail you need.

#### Connected DappleOS context

- Ask a specific question about the selected patient
- Ask about recorded history, plans and outstanding items
- Organise a patient task with a reviewed confirmation

#### What the agent handles

- Explain recorded patient information
- Find factual answers across connected records
- Describe recorded form, plan and account status
- Prepare patient-task changes for confirmation

Access follows the staff member’s permissions and the clinic’s enabled features. Clinical records remain read-only in Patient Agent.

## Workflow

### Find the recorded detail during the consultation.

Keep the treatment note open and ask about previous visits, recorded notes or the existing plan. Follow the answer with a more specific question. When someone needs to act later, prepare a patient task for review and confirmation.

#### Step 1: Start with your question

Ask what happened at the last visit or what remains on the existing plan. Patient Agent keeps the conversation focused on the selected patient.

#### Step 2: Ask about history and plans

Find a treatment date or practitioner, review what happened at a visit and ask what is recorded on the existing treatment or skincare plan.

#### Step 3: Check what is outstanding

Ask about consent completion and validity, required forms, recorded script status, an account balance or patient tasks. Each answer describes its own record, leaving the clinical assessment with the practitioner.

#### Step 4: Keep follow-up connected

Ask for a patient task, review its wording, assignee and due date, then confirm the change. The task stays connected to the patient in DappleOS.

## Reporting and evaluation

### A follow-up the team can find again.

Patient tasks keep the assignee, due date, status and completion history in DappleOS. Review those records alongside the source information behind the conversation.

- What is due on this patient’s existing plan?
- Which tasks remain open, and who is assigned?
- What information supports this answer?

Recorded status helps the team organise its work. It does not establish a clinical readiness decision or a measured time saving.

## One connected platform

### Keep record questions with the consultation.

Patient Agent is being built to answer questions about information already held in DappleOS, beside the treatment note. Find recorded details while the patient is with you, then check the original record when needed.

#### May reduce

- Repeated searches through the same patient history
- Separate pre-visit briefing documents
- Follow-up reminders detached from the patient

#### Does not replace

- The original clinical record and documents
- Practitioner judgement and patient assessment
- The clinic’s consent and clinical governance processes

## Safeguards

### Your team’s access still applies

Patient Agent depends on the staff member’s patient, AI and record permissions, together with the features enabled for the clinic.

### Clinical decisions stay with the practitioner

Answers describe recorded facts. Patient Agent does not diagnose, assess suitability, recommend treatment or prescribe.

### Review a task before changing it

Patient tasks are the supported write action. Review the proposed wording, assignee and due date, then confirm the change.

### Keep the original record in view

Check the underlying record when you need the full context behind an answer or an original document.

## FAQs

### How can Patient Agent help during a consultation?

Patient Agent is coming soon and is not currently available to customers. It is being built to answer questions about previous visits, recorded notes and existing plans from the treatment note, while the patient is with you. Answers describe the record; clinical decisions remain with the practitioner.

### Is the 30-second summary available separately?

Yes. The live 30-second patient summary is a separate feature for reading or listening to recorded patient context, with source descriptions. Patient Agent is coming soon. Its Clinical and Front Desk modes and conversational follow-up are distinct from the live summary.

### What can I ask about a patient’s record?

Ask factual questions about appointments, treatment history, existing treatment and skincare plans, forms, medical information, scripts, prescriptions, accounts, recorded messages and patient tasks. Document cards provide file links, and photo cards can display selected images in the conversation. Available information depends on your permissions and the clinic’s enabled features.

### Can Patient Agent recommend a treatment or make a clinical decision?

No. It describes what is recorded and can report the status of an existing practitioner-authored plan. Diagnosis, suitability, treatment recommendations, prescribing and clinical judgement stay with the qualified practitioner.

### What can Patient Agent change?

Patient tasks are its supported write action: creating, editing, completing or reopening a task after the proposed change is reviewed and confirmed. It does not change clinical notes, prescribe, take payments or book appointments.

### What will a Patient Agent demo cover?

Bring a question you need to answer during a consultation, such as what was recorded at the previous visit. Discuss how the coming-soon Patient Agent could help find that detail beside the treatment note, along with permissions, source records and any reviewed follow-up tasks.
